Bannu incident: Toy bomb injures three children

BANNU: Three children were injured when a toy bomb exploded in the Dogar Emerzai area of Bannu district on Tuesday. SHO Aqeel Khan of Town police station while talking to The Express Tribune said that the children identified as 7-year-old Sheryar, 4-year-old Zameer Khan and 8-year-old Taimur Khan, were playing when Sheryar found a toy in a garbage near their house. They were taking the toy to their house when it exploded in the hands of Sheryar at the gate of their house. Khan said the children were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital where doctors referred Sheryar to the Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar due to his unstable condition while the other two were sent back after first aid. He added that elders of the injured children refused to file a report. However, he added, investigations were under way.
