Robbery: Cash, valuables looted

Family was asleep when over a dozen armed robbers broke in at around 1:30 am and made away with Rs42,000 cash and gold

A woman was injured and cash, jewellery and household items looted in a robbery in Hajia Gali village on Tuesday.


The house owner, Muhammad Younas, told the police that his family was asleep when over a dozen armed robbers broke in at around 1:30 am and made away with Rs42,000 cash, 14 tolas of gold jewellery, a mobile phone, television and household items including iron, tape recorder and grater.

He said that when his mother tried to resist the intruders, they beat her up with back of their rifles, leaving her injured.
