Road accident: Three dead, 40 injured

FAISALABAD: Three people, including a child, were killed and 40 others injured in a road accident in Kamalia area on Sunday night. Police identified the deceased as Rajab Ali, Muhammad Iqbal and Tehseen, 10. A motorcycle they were riding was hit by a passenger bus, which overturned following the collision near Kamalia Bypass on Chichwatni Road. The two men and the child died on the spot. As many as 40 bus passengers were injured in the accident. Some of them were identified as Ghulam Dastgir, Muhammad Boota, Muhammad Husain, Azharan Bibi, Muhammad Ramzan, Siraj Din, Fareeda, Najamul Hasan, Zahra and Muhammad Iqbal. They were taken to Kamalia tehsil headquarters (THQ) hospital from where some were referred to Toba Tek Singh district headquarters (DHQ) hospital.
