New recruits: Govt reply sought on YDA plea

The petitioners said that the government had recruited 500 doctors in three days without following due process.

The Lahore High Court on Monday directed the Punjab government to reply in two weeks to a petition seeking the removal of 500 doctors recruited during the recent Young Doctors Association (YDA) strike.


Justice Ijazul Ahsan issued this order. The petitioners said that the government had recruited 500 doctors in three days without following due process. They said these appointments were made in violation of the recruitment policy.
