The statement said that Isaf has always adequately responded to Pakistani military’s requests for assistance.
“Isaf will continue to take every Pakistani military report of cross-border movement very seriously and will assist whenever and wherever possible,” the press release stated.
Highlighting the shared interests of Pakistan and Nato, the statement stressed the need for working together to control the cross-border attacks by the Haqqani network from North Waziristan.
Nato, in the press release, stated that the US-led international forces fighting in Afghanistan are committed to working together with Pakistan on the basis of mutual interest and respect.
Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated "it's military" instead of "its military". A correction has been made.

@gp65: apostrophe and not apostrophy!
ET: Please correct the grammar " "The Pakistani claim that it’s military". You should use 'its' without the apostrophy. It's is a short form for It is.
Dear Sid Taqi,
Recent allegations that the Pakistani military has notified the International Security Assistance Force 52 times that insurgent elements were crossing the Afghan/Pakistan border are incorrect. Whenever the Pakistani military has requested assistance, ISAF immediately dispatched the appropriate force to deal with the issue. We have many shared interests – including our respective commitments for coordinated action against the cross-border attacks of the Haqqani terrorists from North Waziristan who threaten Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the region; of supporting Afghanistan’s security, stability, and efforts towards reconciliation; and of continuing to work together to advance the many other shared interests we have, from increasing trade and investment to strengthening our people-to-people ties.
The recent rise in the cross border incidents has been the subject of discussion between our governments. And it only reiterates the need for better cooperation and coordination between our nations. Let’s not forget that we have achieved success in the past by working together. The capture of Younis al-Mauritani, a senior al Qaeda leader was the result of our joint cooperation. And there is no reason why we should not be optimistic in regard to the future of our relationship.
@Aarvey,india: That is why 500 hundred million viewers in India are finding out their true worth from Aamer Khan's show. Have a nice day
Amazing how News is reported even in a progressive newspaper like ET ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ For complete coverage read http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/28/world/asia/at-security-conference-tense-talk-between-us-and-pakistan.html?_r=1
"Ms. Rehman said that on 52 different occasions in the last eight months Pakistan had provided to American and NATO commanders in Afghanistan the locations from which the militants were attacking, to no avail.
Immediately, Mr. Lute, a retired three-star Army general and deputy national security adviser who rarely speaks in public, fired back. “There’s no comparison of the Pakistani Taliban’s relatively recent, small-in-scale presence inside Afghanistan to the decades-long experience and relationship between elements of the Pakistani government and the Afghan Taliban,” he said. “To compare these is simply unfair.”"
@Babloo: "This question for Pakistan military. Why lie, when you will be immediately be contradicted ?" ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Force of Habit.
@Sid Taqi: ‘Mutual interest and respect’, let’s see NATO go after the barbarians who beheaded Pakistani soldiers. So far the relationship has been more like of ‘divergent interests, and disrespect’
So what has Pakistan been doing for last decade? What exact role has it played in their partnership with NATO ? They have certainly been collecting lot of cash for services not rendered too !
There is this "trust deficit" here, hence no one is talking to anyone !
Pakistan has little credibility and as others have said when it comes to deciding who's telling the truth Nato is going to win this argument. Further -- it take's some gall to ignore Afghan and NATO complaints for a decade and then around and expect them to drop everything their doing and respond to your complaints.
Noose are being tightened around NATO.
@Babloo: How do you know who is lying? Is NATO a divine force? obviously yes for people like you.
Why are we so quick to mistrust our own land? Can't NATO be lying? You don't trust them with the drone strikes, so why are you quick to pass judgement on this?
Why Pakistan does not mine those áreas of inflitration....instead of always getting into such arguments leading into un-necessary controversies as NATO / ISAF / US will always hv one excuse or another'......
The world does not have trust in Pakistan army's statements, claims or denials. Guess who is to blame for the lack of trust?
PPP wants to continue .Do more togather for mutual interest and Respect . DO MORE .
@Taimur Khan: And how would you know that unless you work for the Pak Army?
ISI chief is laying the ground work for his visit to USA and USA is getting ready for his welcome. Stay tune more juicy stuff to come in next few days.
'Mutual interest and respect', let's see NATO go after the barbarians who beheaded Pakistani soldiers. So far the relationship has been more like of 'divergent interests, and disrespect'.
This is nothing but balderdash.
My first thoughts:
At one time USA was informing Pakistan agencies of the presence of terrorists and asking Pakistan to take action. Pakistan was tipping off these terrorists or were moving them to other safe locations.
Now it is the turn of Pakistan to face the music. Pakistan may provide information to NATO or US forces and they shall use it the same way Pakistan was using information provided to them.
Today, no other country in the World has so much internal enemies as Pakistan. Hindus, Mohajirs, Christians, Shias, Ahmadis, Hazaraz, Baluch, and many more have been alienated. Every time a TV anchor, politicians or religious leaders, in their zeal to defend Pakistan, talks about Muslims in other countries such as India or Burma, it makes the persecuted communities in Pakistan feel that most in Pakistan know what they are doing to their minorities and that they do it willingly and vengefully.
More lies exposed by NATO. If one has to ask anyone outside Pakistan who is to be believed , NATO Or Pakistan, it will be a resounding NATO. Its high time Pakistan realizes it's actual with in the International community.
Now Rehman Malik a case will be registered against ISAF .A true hero to the Nation.
This question for Pakistan military. Why lie, when you will be immediately be contradicted ?
What did he say? Is he kidding
