6 Uzbek militants killed in North Waziristan drone strike: Official

PESHAWAR: At least six Uzbek militants were killed on Sunday when a US drone fired six missiles at a car and a small compound in the Khushhali Turikhel village in North Waziristan, a security official confirmed.

According to the official, the six Uzbek militants were visiting a spring for leisure when they came under attack and were killed.

The village is 35km towards east of Miranshah bazaar.

Earlier, around 12 suspected militants were killed in Shawal Tehsil of North Waziristan Agency when a drone fired at least six missiles at a compound used as a training centre by militants.

The strike was the first recorded one in the month of Ramazan.

The area of Shawal is considered to be a stronghold of militant warlord Hafiz Gulbahadur.

@musilman

You state: " They both want their policies to be accepted on basis of force and ultimate authority. "

The US does not coerce Pakistani lawmakers to accept the use of drones by killing them. If they did, you would have a better corollary. The US wants to eradicate terrorists that abide by NO policies. The US would be happy to not use drones if Pakistan would eradicate the terrorists hiding in their sovereign but ungovernable "terror-tories".

It's unbelievable that anyone could condone the rights of these foreigners that violate your sovereignty a whole lot more than the US by setting up their own government in addition to killing your civilians.

@Zaikam: Dear Sir, Ray Davis got the justice from Pakistani courts according to Pakistani laws. All the parties were happy and got what they wanted. You would not see this swift justice ever from "independent" judiciary! There were too many characters from Punjab govt to the courts that did a perfect job for the justice. I am sure the deep state and fed govt was also involved. However, the main reason was the infamous laws that allow rich and powerful to pay the blood money and get out easily. Rich and honor killers have been using this law for a long time to kill and get away, I am sorry to say. Regards, Mirza
