Justice For All: Six policemen booked for raid on villager’s house

The officers include former Tando Masti SHO Munawwar Soomro.

SUKKUR: The police have registered a case against six policemen on charges of raiding a villager’s house a month ago.

The officers include former Tando Masti SHO Munawwar Soomro. The case was registered by Shah Bux Chandio who lives in Phorhi Chandio village.

Following the raid, Chandio filed a petition in the Khairpur district and sessions court, stating that a contingent led by Soomro, raided and cordoned off his village. They barged into Chandio’s house, beat the men and women there and took away their cash and household items.

The court ordered the Tando Masti police to register an FIR against SHO Munawwar Soomro, additional SHO Rabnawaz Rajpar, ASI Din Mohammad and three others, but arrests have yet to be made. According to the police, Darya Khan Jatoi was posted SHO after Soomro was suspended.

If proven true policemen should be given double punishment what the law allows. It is just like when you are traveling fast in the construction zone, your fines doubles.That is the way it is done in USA.
