Arrested: Man held on murder charges

Policearrested a man for allegedly killing his wife by poisoning her in Taxila.

TAXILA: The Hassanabdal police on Friday arrested a man for allegedly killing his wife by poisoning her in Taxila. Police sources said Musarrat Bibi, a mother of six, was brought to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital with a complaint of vomiting. She later died at the hospital. Anwar Bibi, mother of the deceased, alleged that her daughter died after she was given poison by her husband, Imran. The couple had developed differences recently, she added. On her complaint, the Hassanabdal police took Imran into custody.
