Captain Mohammad Safdar’s basic party membership from Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) has been suspended by the party, Express News reported on Saturday.
The suspension was handed out by Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on the orders of PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif.
Safdar had developed differences with PML-N’s Sardar Mehtab Abbasi and Pir Sabir Shah on allegedly trying to create a power struggle.
Internal bickering had given way to a war of words with senior party leaders criticising each other openly in the media.
Safdar had locked horns with party stalwarts Sardar Mehtab Khan and Pir Sabir Shah, who have dominated party affairs in K-P for years.

@xor: For to have rift, there should be enough reasonable people who had different opinion on the matter under evaluation and discussion, which PML N have, howevere in case of PTI, non exists, and only IK under the guidance of pasha, how can there be any rift in PTI. Get some reasonable minds then there will be difference of opinion.
This is problem in dynastic politics. Why it always people like Bilawal, Monis, Hamza, Abdul Qadir etc. lead party or nation. Why not ordinary worker from party ranks lead the nation?
This is no 'noora kushti.' Nawaz knows fully well that his goose is cooked in politics. M/s. Jhagra, Mehtab and Pir Sabir have long been in the party and remain loyal to Nawaz. The step of disciplining his son-in-law is a very good step and will set an example to other politicos. The party that started the internal discipline process is Muttaheda that disciplined many of its councilors and a mini parliamentarian who now appears on TV. Why was he the president of Youth Wing in the first place? What credentials did he have except for being Nawaz's damaad. PMLn is a family party by all definitions of it.

He should have been thrown out of the party time ago. He doesn't know any thing about politics but these monkeys are kept in high positions because of family affiliation. PMLn is all about family politics.

Muslim league N is not a party but it is a Mafia/company under a family stretched out and spilled over. It is joke with the people and trick of be-fooling them. C Safdar cannot be thrown out of party, since he is husband of the future leader of this company.

@Mohd Butt: This is a family party; why do you think a 50 year old was the head of the youth wing! Only reason he removed damaad ji is because PMLN is lot of trouble in KP because of PTI popularity, same as in Punjab!
