Lack of evidence: Accused in kidnapping case acquitted

KARACHI: A man identified as Ali Hassan was cleared of kidnapping charges by the Anti-Terrorism Court-II on Friday.

Hassan was among four men named in a kidnapping case filed by the Gulshan-e-Maymar police station and the Anti-Violent Crimes Cell in 2010. Hassan was acquitted because there was no proof of his involvement and the complainant in the case could not recognise him as one of the perpetrators.
