Karate: Team leaves for Dream Cup Tournament

The Pakistan Kyokushin Karate team left for Japan to participate in the Dream Cup International Karate Tournament.

PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Kyokushin Karate team left for Japan to participate in the Dream Cup International Karate Tournament which starts tomorrow. The team consists of Samra Shahid, who will participate in the Elementary Girls Category, Shahid Hussain and coach Sahibzada Al-Hadi. Rizwan Ullah, however, will not participate in the event as he could not get an air ticket due lack of funds. “We are participating in the tournament on self-help basis,” Al-Hadi told The Express Tribune. Pakistan team had participated in Asian Tournament held in Kazakhstan on June 23 and grabbed second position.
