Cardiac arrest: Litigant dies outside courtroom

Mukhtar Ahmed, was in his mid 40s and had been accused of injuring a man from his rival party

RAWALPINDI: A man died outside a courtroom after suffering from cardiac arrest on Wednesday. The deceased, Mukhtar Ahmed, was in his mid 40s and had been accused of injuring a man from his rival party, said the police. Ahmed, along with Gul Faraz, was supposed to appear before the court after obtaining post-arrest bail from the court. Both of them had been booked by the Banni police in 2010 and had been attending court hearings on a regular basis. Ahmed’s body was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital, where it was handed over to his family for burial in Mansehra.
