Power outages: 17 demos held in Sialkot

Protesters said water supply remained suspended because of power outages that extended up to 20 hours in a day.

Protests were held against prolonged power outages in 17 different parts of the city on Tuesday.


The protesters said water supply had also remained suspended in various parts of the city because of power outages that extended up to 20 hours in a day.

The affected areas included Hajipura, Rangpura, Pooran Nagar, Pak Pura, Nishat Park, Naikapura, Kotli Behram , Gohadpur, New Muslim Town, New Mianapura , Mubarakpura  and Pakka Garha.

Demonstrations were held in Allama Iqbal Chowk, Gulistan Chowk, China Chowk, Gohadpur Chowk,  Lorry Adda Chowk,  Paris Road, Kutchery Road , Shahabpura Road, Uggoki Road, Roras Road, Hajipura, Sialkot-Pasrur Road, Rangpura, Prem Nagar and Khadim Ali Road.

The protesters blocked roads for traffic for several hours. They chanted slogans against the government.

Protests against outages were also held in Gujranwala on Monday.
