KARACHI: Former Pakistan Captain Wasim Bari handed over the charge of Director Education and Anti-Corruption at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday, after an unfruitful wait of three weeks for his contract to be extended.

Bari, who has also served as the Chief Operating Officer of PCB during former Chairman Ijaz Butt’s tenure, saw his current contract expire on June 30, 2012. The board, unflinching as it was, only issued a routine letter on June 29 in this regard.

The former test cricketer handed over the charge after directives from PCB headquarter. All official properties were also returned.
