Emergency facility: Rescue 1122 expanded to tehsils

Facility is being expanded to the tehsil-level after being provided in the 36 districts of the province.

The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) will train 566 new recruits who will be deputed at the service’s offices in 12 tehsils. The facility is being expanded to the tehsil-level after being provided in the 36 districts of the province.

The tehsils included in the pilot phase of expansion are Ahmad Pur East, Chichawatni, Gujar Khan, Jaranwala, Kabeerwala, Khanpur, Liaquatpur, Kharian, Mian Channu, Muridke, Pattoki and Sadiqabad. Addressing the newly-recruited rescuers at the Emergency Services Academy on Ferozepur Road, Dr Rizwan Naseer – the Rescue 1122 director general – attributed the service’s standard to “quality training and effective monitoring”. He urged the new rescuers to train hard and maintain the standards of the service at the tehsil-level.
