Healthcare: Students sponsored for programme
students were selected from universities nationwide after extensive interview sessions.
KARACHI:
The Mahvash and Jahangir Siddiqui Foundation has sponsored students for a four-week Global and Public Heath medical programme at Weill Cornell Medical College, Qatar. The program hosts undergraduate students from universities in various parts of the world, and is an opportunity for participants to learn about latest research being undertaken in the field of improving global and public health, the success of Qatar’s health policies, and how the country transformed itself into a modern city-state with excellent health facilities to cater to its citizens. The students were selected from universities nationwide after extensive interview sessions. The Pakistani participants will also get an opportunity to learn about the latest research efforts to integrate lifestyle medicine with environmental, genetic and related factors to address health care needs of various communities in the country. The Mahvash and Jahangir Siddiqui Foundation annually sponsors such initiatives to support and improve the wellbeing of Pakistani citizens.
