ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) launched a project to replace water pumps, on Tuesday, to provide uninterrupted water supply to the federal capital’s residents with the co-operation of USAID. CDA chief Farkhand Iqbal said only 132 out of 187 tube well pumps are functioning at the launch of the project at Fatima Jinnah Park, where the first pump was replaced. He said the new pumps would save two megawatts (MW) which is sufficient for 4500 households.
