Faisalabad Division: 10 new colleges to be established

As many as 100 new colleges will be established in Punjab at an estimated cost of Rs9 billion.

FAISALABAD: As many as 100 new colleges will be established under the Punjab Education Sector Reforms (PESR) Programme at an estimated cost of Rs9 billion. An Education Department spokesman on Saturday said that Rs1.46 billion will be released for the projects this year to construct the college buildings. He said that 10 of these college would be opened in Faisalabad division for which Rs200 million has been allocated this year. He said that six of the new colleges were for girls and four were for boys. Girls colleges will be set up at Chak 215-RB at Jaranwala Road, Satiana Bungalow, Jhang City, Mandi Shah Jewna, Chak 721-GB near Kamalia and Rajana. The boys colleges will be set up at Millat Town in Faisalabad, Mandi Shah Jewna, Mamu Kanjan and Garh Maharaja.
