Four NATO containers pass into Afghanistan

Containers were cleared after a routine screening at the border point by concerned officials.

LANDI KOTAL: Four containers carrying goods for Nato forces have traversed the Torkham border to reach Afghanistan on Thursday.

According to Jamrud Tehsil’s political administration official Farid, four containers loaded from Bilal Logistics Company entered Khyber Agency through the Karkhano check post at 10 am on Thursday and approached the Jamrud National Logistics Cell for scanning.

The official said that the Frontier Corps (FC) personnel received the containers, scanned them, and permitted them to proceed towards the Torkham border of the Landikotal subdivision. Meanwhile, Torkham Border senior customs official Obaid confirmed that the security staff had received all four containers at the border.

According to reports, all four containers were halted at Torkham at 4 pm, while security and customs protocol were being met.
