Not maintained: 134 police motorcycles in disrepair
Police purchased 86 of the motorcycles while 48 were donated by citizens.
FAISALABAD:
As many as 134 mobile police motorcycles are in a state of disrepair due to poor maintenance. Police purchased 86 of the motorcycles while 48 were donated by citizens. The motorcycles have now been parked at the police lines. Some of the motorcycles are still not registered with the Excise and Taxation Department. The police are left with 395 motorcycles to patrol the city but they are considered to be insufficient. SSP (Operations) Sadiq Ali Dogar acknowledged that 134 motorcycles needed repairs and said that the police have been requesting for funds.
