Correction: Joint secy’s apology accepted

LHC accepted apology and discharged on Monday the contempt notice against him.

The Lahore High Court accepted the apology of the joint secretary (Hajj) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and discharged on Monday the contempt notice against him. The Express Tribune had reported on July 10, 2012, (Hajj quotas: LHC ‘rejects’ ministry official’s apology) that the court had rejected the apology and was yet to decide on the contempt plea. The discrepancy was a result of the report being filed before the court had issued its written order on Monday night. The error is regretted.
