National interests: Implementing UNESCO programmes

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Professional & Technical Training, Sheikh Waqas Akram, asked the secretary general of Pakistan National Commission for UNESCO (PNCU) to ensure the implementation of UNESCO / ISESCO programmes in Pakistan.

Akram assured that the coordination of UNESCO with National Commission of other member states would be ensured through this ministry. Minister Akram asked Secretary General of PNCU, Mohammad Ikram to safeguard the interests of Pakistan in UNESCO’s affairs in Paris.

Sardar Shahjehan Yousaf, minister of state, asked the secretary general PNCU to focus on UNESCO educational and vocational center which aims to develop and improve technical and vocational education and training in Pakistan.
