Tragedy: Body spotted, woman commits suicide

Police could not fish out the woman’s body, and neither could it determine the reason why she took her own life.

GILGIT: A young woman committed suicide by jumping into a river in Yaseen Valley, whereas a body was spotted in a river in Nagar Valley on Monday. The police could not fish out the woman’s body till the filing of this report, and neither could it determine the reason why she took her own life. Meanwhile, the body spotted floating by locals in a river in Chilmisdas and is believed to be of Iftikhar, 22, who missing last week following a fight between two groups over a water dispute that left one person dead. The locals tried to fish out the body but failed due to the fast flow of water and significant level of sedimentation.
