Firing incident: Four murder suspects arrested

GILGIT: Four people who allegedly shot a man dead and injured two others in Basin locality were arrested by the local police on Monday. Police said that the car used in the attack has also been impounded. According to police sources, four men opened fire on a shop in Basin at about 9:30pm on Sunday night, killing Safdar and injuring two others. The injured were admitted to a government hospital where their condition is said to be out of danger. The incident triggered riots in the area and locals pelted stones at the local police station. On Monday, the police remained on high alert and conducted body search of all passengers entering the city.
