Power outages: ‘Duration reduced by an hour’

Additional District Collector said the outages should be done in accordance with the schedule.

BAHAWALPUR: The duration of power outages in Bahawalpur has been reduced by an hour, Water and Power Development Authority sub-divisional Muhammad Saqib said on Sunday.

He was speaking at a meeting of the district emergency management committee for load shedding. Earlier, Additional District Collector Muhammad Ishtiaq Javed said the outages should be done in accordance with the schedule. He also requested the people to maintain law and order during demonstrations against outages in future. He requested the Multan Electric Power Company to further reduce the duration of outages in the area between 2 pm to 6pm. Anjuman Tajran presidentHafiz Muhammad Younis, Executive District Officer (Agriculture) Tanveer Ahmad and WAPDA sub-divisional officer Muhammad Saqib were present at the occasion.
