The Lahore Development Authority is to hire a law firm and offer a competitive salary package to get a top lawyer to head its Law Directorate, said a press release.
The decision was made at an LDA board meeting a few days ago. An official said that the lawyers currently engaged by the authority had proved ineffective. The LDA is involved in various cases concerning land acquisition and development, town planning, commercialisation, civil works, service matters, contract management and labour laws.
The firm’s senior legal advisor must have at least 20 years of experience. The deadline for firms to apply is July 14. Candidate for the post of law director must have at least 15 years of experience as a High Court advocate or in a public sector organisation, or he may be a retired additional district and sessions judge.
