To ease the flow of traffic on Kashmir Highway and Agha Shahi Avenue.

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will construct a flyover on Peshawar Mor to ease the flow of traffic on Kashmir Highway and Agha Shahi Avenue. The two highways needed an underpass or a flyover bridge since their expansion to accommodate the increasing number of vehicles using them to travel between Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The announcement was made by CDA Chairman Farkhand Iqbal during an inspection of roadwork between Peshawar Mor and Zero Point. However, he did not give an exact date for the start of the project, nor did he disclose any further modalities. The chairman directed the CDA Engineering Wing to complete the roadwork with pace and quality to facilitate traffic. Iqbal said that sufficient storage of water is available to meet the requirements of the city, but power outages were causing hindrance in supply of water from tube wells.
