Legislation: ‘PPP will introduce bill for the elderly’

PPP will move legislation in the provincial assembly (PA) to protect rights of the elderly citizens

RAHIM YAR KHAN: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will move legislation in the provincial assembly (PA) to protect rights of the elderly citizens, MPA Javed Akbar Dhilloon on Friday said. Addressing the Bazurg Dost Mela (Old Persons Fun Fair) on Friday, the Rahim Yar Khan PPP President said that Raja Riaz, the PPP parliamentary leader, would present the legislation in the house soon.

Ajiba Aslam, country director of Help H Pakistan, an NGO, said that her organisation had been working for elderly citizens for 10 years. Shields were also presented to several elderly persons.
