Elected: Dock workers win in KPT referendum

Many other unions had participated in the referendum held under the supervision of Registrar of Trade Union.

KARACHI: The Karachi Harbour and Dock Workers Union won the referendum for the determination of Collective Bargaining Agent (CBA) union of the Karachi Dock Labour Board (KDLB) at Karachi Port Trust. Many other unions had participated in the referendum held under the supervision of Registrar of Trade Union, Sindh government. The union’s candidate Gul Mohammad Afridi stood first in the referendum, polling 2,045 of the total 2,873 votes.
