
Khyber-Pakthunkhwa (K-P) Minister for Agriculture Arbab Ayub Jan said that the government has approved a project for provision of quality agriculture seeds, medicines and equipments on reasonable prices to farmers and growers to increase per acre production.
The project will cost Rs500 million and the facilities will be available at the farms services centres, he told a delegation of farmers here on Tuesday.
He added that this would increase the per acre production. Jan said that the people have now realised the importance of durable peace vital to alleviate poverty, unemployment, illiteracy and economic recession.
He said that the writ of government was established in the Malakand division and now was giving top focus on its speedy development. He said that Rs2.25 billion have been spent on completion of dozens of development schemes in K-P to improve the socio-economic condition of masses.
