Property Transfer: Patwari arrested for corruption

LAHORE:

A patwari has been suspended and arrested after being caught taking a Rs50,000 bribe at a petrol pump in Johar Town on Saturday. The patwari, who is named Amir, had sought Rs600,000 from an applicant for a no-objection certificate for the transfer of a house in Gulberg, said Anti Corruption Establishment officials.

ACE had set up a team to catch the patwari after it was informed of complaints of his corruption by LDA Director General Ahad Cheema.
