Long Time Coming: Lady health workers regularized

On June 8, the SC ruled in favour of the staff of the National Programme for Family Planning and Basic Health.

KARACHI: Lady Health Workers celebrated their regularisation at the Karachi Press Club on Saturday. On June 8, the Supreme Court ruled in favour of the staff of the National Programme for Family Planning and Basic Health, granting regularisation with a service structure to 106,000 employees, said the All Pakistan Lady Health Workers Welfare Association President Bushra Arain. A lady health supervisor has been given grade VII, account supervisor and lady heath worker grade V each and driver grade IV. “We will now get our salaries on time, will get a room and petrol on time,” she said.
