The local administration fearing a hostile reaction to the Supreme Court judgement disqualifying Yousaf Raza Gilani, had taken extraordinary security measures around the Sindh High Court building.
A number of large containers were placed on main roads leading to main gate (meant for general public) of Sindh High Court on Tuesday night following the apex court judgment. The aim was to restrict the movement of unconcerned people in the area.
However, after the ruling PPP accepted the judgment and announced it will bring in a new man for the slot of Prime Minister, the red alert was lowered to a normal level and the containers were removed by Wednesday afternoon.
