KARACHI: The Sindh Audit General office will submit a detailed report of district accounts to the Sindh Assembly, including its findings on the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s (KMC) affairs, on Wednesday. All state departments in the province are legally bound to get their accounts audited by the AG Sindh but confusion surrounds KMC, which spends billions of rupees on development projects every year. A KMC spokesperson said that the audit was an annual feature while the Sindh Assembly’s Public Accounts Committee’s (PAC) chairperson, Jam Tamachi Unar, said that he could not recall when the city administration’s accounts were checked last.
