Mohabbat-e-sindh: Rally held to oppose Sindh’s division

KHAIRPUR: Sindh cannot be divided to make way for multiple provinces, said Awami Tehreek leader Ayaz Palijo during a “Mohabbat-e-Sindh” rally on Tuesday.

Over 2,000 people attended the rally, which began from the Mariyam Tob Chowk and ended at Panjh Gola Chowk. “Karachi is the heart of Sindh and Sindhi people. Sindh has a rich culture and it must be preserved,” said Palijo. He accused Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and former interior minister Rehman Malik of being “puppets” of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.

He also accused the government of making “false promises” to over 35 million flood victims, as a majority of them had not received any form of assistance and were also not rehabilitated.
