4 killed, 8 injured as violence continues in Karachi

Two killed, 8 injured in a firing incident near Rabia City.

KARACHI: At least four people were killed and eight injured in separate incidents of firing in Karachi on Monday, Express News reported.

An incident early morning today had resulted in the death of two people.

Another two people were killed and eight injured in a second incident in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. According to the Express News correspondent, two groups had opened fire on each other.

A political party worker identified as Imdad Hussain was killed as a result of the firing.

The area became tense after the incident, and it was reported that markets had shut down.

Police and Rangers later conducted raids in the area and took around 12 people into custody.

The Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of the city had also remained tense on Sunday after the killing of Awami National Party’s (ANP) Liaquat Bangash alias Liaquat Tension.
