Copycat: Sharif called a ‘project thief’

LAHORE: Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif will be remembered as the ‘project thief’ CM, Tamkeen Aftab, vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) women’s wing, said on Sunday.   “His names must be entered in the Guinness Book of World Records for replacing the nameplate on projects completed by Pervaiz Elahi with his own,” she said. It is clear that the government has not been able to spend last years development budget fully, she said.

On the basis of facts and figures Pervaiz Elahi was a better administrator and this was recognised on the international level . He respected and honoured the government officials and worked by taking into confidence each and every stakeholder. He did not waste money on Sasti Roti and Laptops in order to acquire cheap popularity. During his tenure the Punjab budget was always in surplus in contrast to ones under the present CM which is always in deficit.
