LAHORE: Former federal law minister Babar Awan revealed that he has been receiving death threats from unknown sources and demanded an investigation into the matter.

“Our institutions that are funded by public taxes should investigate who wants to kill me,” Babar said.

Speaking to media at the Lahore High Court on Thursday, Awan pointed out that Asma Jahangir had also expressed same concerns but the law enforcement agencies failed to do anything.

Awan further said he has received life threats from three different mobile phone numbers. “Two of the numbers appear on the screen of my mobile phone while the third number does not,” he stated.

“I’m not scared nor would I leave the country as Allah is my protector,” he added.
