Acknowledgment: MPA awarded honorary PhD

LAHORE: Punjab Assembly member Humaira Awais Shahid has been awarded an honorary doctorate in humane letters by Bowdoin College. Shahid is one of the five recipients of the honour from all over the world for distinguished services in their respective fields at the 207th commencement celebrations of the college in America. A statement issued by the college said “her legislative work in the Punjab Assembly and her dedication to protect human rights and the services rendered by her for the uplift of women in the country were the reason for conferring the degree”.
