LAHORE:

Additional District and Sessions Judge Safdar Ali Bhatti issued notice to the Green Town SHO again on Wednesday directing him to produce by June 14 the children of a woman, who claims her husband cut her ear and kicked her out of their home on June 3.

Shamim Bibi said she had been separated from her husband and was living with her parents. On June 3, she and her three children were visiting her husband on his invitation to celebrate the birthday of one of the children when she was detained and told to leave the children with their father.

She said she refused and was beaten and her ear slashed for it before she was thrown out. She said her husband Saghir Ahmad and his brother Shahnawaz had also kept her children.

She said Green Town police had registered an FIR on her compliant but not recovered the children.

At the last hearing, the judge had directed the SHO to produce the children on Wednesday.
