ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) parliamentarians and supporters staged a sit-in outside the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Express News reported on Monday.

The protestors, accompanied by Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, demanded the government step down as it has failed to control inflation, unemployment and energy crisis.

They further called for the announcement of general elections.

A heavy contingent of security personnel has been deployed outside the presidency to prevent any mishap.

Earlier Nisar had announced that the PML-N will perform its democratic role but will also register its protest during future assembly sessions and on the streets.
