Murdered: Two brothers shot dead

ISLAMABAD: In a late night incident of firing on Wednesday, two brothers were shot upon and injured by unknown gunmen in their car near Khanna Pul area. The injured were shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences where they were pronounced dead by the doctors. After the initial inquiry, the city police said their car (AD 400) was shot upon while taking a turn to service road near Khanna Pul by gunmen who disappeared soon after firing. Police suspect the two brothers Muhammad Bakhtiar and Muhammad Ashraf Zamir, residents of Basaand Kallan village in Kotli Sattiyan, died at the spot. The bodies were lying in Pims till the filing of this report while their family was being contacted by the police. The bodies will be handed over to the heirs after post mortem, said police. One of the two brothers Muhammad Ashraf was a lawyer at the Islamabad High Court. Police said the motive behind the shooting was not clear.
