Table tennis: Punjab girls clinch inter-provincial title

LAHORE: Punjab overpowered hosts Peshawar to  clinch the Inter-Provincial Under-16 Youth Girls Table Tennis Championship that concluded yesterday. Punjab beat Peshawar with a clear 3-0 margin in the team event and the singles category of the championship, which featured teams from all four provinces of the country. Maizan Mustafa of Punjab was declared the champion of the singles, while in the team events, Wasaf Naeem, Anam Sharif, Maizan Mustafa, Ansa Alamgir and Shiza Sohail gave splendid

performances. Maizan, who was declared the best player of the tournament, pocketed a cash prize of Rs10,000.
