LAHORE:

Civil Judge Chaudhary Asim Hafeez on Wednesday directed actress Meera’s counsel to produce the sale agreement between her and Raja Khalid Pervaiz on a petition asking the court to stay the sale of her Defence Housing Authority (DHA) house.

The judge fixed June 7 (today) for arguments.

Petitioner Irtiza Rubab alias Meera has submitted that her fiancé Captain Naveed’s father, Raja Khalid Pervaiz, has occupied her house without paying her.

She says that Pervaiz had, through misrepresentation, gotten her to sign an agreement to sell her house but never paid the price.

She says that she had agreed since Pervaiz had also proposed his son’s marriage to her and arranged an engagement.

She said she had agreed to sell the house for Rs20 million but when she asked for the money, Pervaiz had said he would transfer the amount once he reached New York.

She said one month later she had asked him again but still there was no payment.

She asked the court to declare the sale agreement and the receipt  as null and void.

She has also asked the court to issue a stay order to restrain the defendant from interfering in with the contested property.

Nothing new, most property deals in Karachi result in some problem or the other. Also, maybe the most corrupt institution/organization in Pakistan is the KDA...
