KARACHI:

The Sharif brothers are trying to sow discord among the provinces that may lead to anarchy in the country, said Federal Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira on Tuesday.

He was speaking to journalists at Karachi Press Club.

“We gave provincial autonomy, but the Sharif brothers are speaking against it. We devolved 18 ministries to the provincial governments, but they are not happy over it also,” he said. “This kind of approach will lead to a confrontation-like situation in the country.” The state information minister also rejected the Punjab governments’ decision to hold local government elections on non-party basis, saying that such elections are held by dictators.  not democrats “We are following the Charter of Democracy and will hold the elections on party basis.”

Referring to Shahbaz Sharif, Kaira said the PML-N leader was sitting in a provincial government and challenging the federal government.

Smart politician in wrong party and defending wrong cause. He knows well what federal govt. doing to Punjab. Destroying all the industries in Punjab if any still left. Forgive people of Pakistan for their mistake, they will not elect your party again. God bless Pakistan.
