Illegal weapons: US consulate Pakistani employees jailed in Peshawar

The arrested Pakistanis were security in-charge Manzoor and drivers Ihsan Khan and Asif Khan.

PESHAWAR: Three Pakistani employees of the US consulate who had been arrested for illegal possession of weapons in Peshwar were sent to jail by the court on Tuesday, Express News reported.

The arrested Pakistanis were security in-charge Manzoor and drivers Ihsan Khan and Asif Khan.

Earlier, law enforcers intercepted two US consulate vehicles at a motorway toll plaza and recovered a huge quantity of arms.

Four US diplomats and their three Pakistani employees were arrested and shifted to the nearby Chamkani police station.

Earlier, Express News had reported that the three men were released.

These so called diplomats have no business to move around in sensitive prohibited areas and that too with unauthorized / unlicensed sophisticated weapons. They should not be allowed to go unpunished.
