Environment day: China Scheme to be cleaned up

LWMC will provide 7,500 households with waste bags.

LAHORE: Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) will mark World Environment Day on June 5 with a special cleaning drive in the China Scheme. LWMC will provide 7,500 households with waste bags. The LWMC is planning a new waste disposal mechanism for the areas 50,000 people. 22 plots with waste will be cleaned up. 1,500 workers and modern machinery will take part in the operation of LWMC. All waste collected will be dumped at Mehmood Booti.
