KARACHI: Al-Noor Gymkhana were indebted to a superb all-round show by captain Fawad Alam and Junaid Khan’s four-for as they clinched the Pakistan Champions League (PCL) after outclassing Khyber Green Fata by seven wickets. Zia took four for 27 as the Fata side was bundled out for a paltry 114. Zia was well-supported by Alam and Jalat Khan who claimed two wickets apiece. In reply, Alam hit a well-made 54 to help Al-Noor Gymkhana achieve the target with five balls to spare. Alam not only bagged the man-of-the-match award but was also declared the best player of the tournament with a tally of 296 runs and 11 wickets to his name. Saeed Afridi walked away with the title of best batsman of the tournament, while Tariq Khan picked the best bowler’s award.
