Six children injured in blast at Faisalabad LPG shop

FAISALABAD: An explosion took place on Friday at a shop storing Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), located on Jarranwala Road in Faisalabad, Express News reported. Six children passing nearby sustained injuries in the blast.

The roof of the shop was completely destroyed.

LPG was being filled in the cylinders when the blast occurred.

Firefighters reached the spot right after and were trying to put out the fire, but the LPG stored inside kept igniting it.

The injured were moved to Allied Hospital and Civil Hospital and District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital.

The three injured children were identified as 12-year-old Suhail, 14-year-old Abdul Khaliq and 14-year-old Adnan.

Rescue teams have cordoned off the area to prevent any further injuries or any possible casualties.
