Party tickets: ‘PPP has yet to pick candidates’

City president says party tickets would be given to the best available candidates.

FAISALABAD:

“No decision has yet been taken to issue party tickets in Faisalabad division,” city president of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Rana Mushtaq Ahmad Khan said on Thursday.

He was commenting on a news report about party tickets being issued to various applicants from Faisalabad division.

Khan said that a meeting held at the Governor’s House in Lahore which was attended by Faryal Talpur, Governor Sardar Latif Khosa and other provincial party leaders.

“Aspirants of party tickets from Faisalabad division were interviewed in the meeting and some of them were also asked to clarify their position on certain matters, however no decisions has been taken so far,” he said.

The city president added that party tickets would be given to the best available candidates.
